In search of happiness

For a person who lives in such a perfectly happy country, where everything is good.

The children have meaningful and fulfilled lives, and all men and women have a high standard of living. You live in a place where there is free speech, freedom of the mind and the soul, and boundless opportunities.

Your future is full of hope and the country stable, and secure. Yet, you work night and day. Stealing some time away from your busy schedules, for family events and what not. You hardly have the time to eat and sleep, much less exercise.

You eat plain bread and stay in private properties, and your jobs change every season.
You live daily in a maybe.
At night, you turn to your side and sleep scrunched and lonely.

How happy you are, that you wish to take another to pass each day by your side. As you silently prod away in the darkness, gathering your resources.
That may not enter your belly for the next twenty years.
Your waist swells and your belt tightens, because it has bloated up with gas and fats. Your blood pressure goes sky high and your eyes, ears and memories start to fail you, as you continue to grasp at straws to build your nest.

In search for happiness, you move here and there. Keeping secrets and making friends. How successful you are, only you can say, as you crow a top a haystack in a cold day.

Jeremiah 17:10, 21-25

10 “I the Lord search the heart
    and examine the mind,
to reward each person according to their conduct,
according to what their deeds deserve.”
21 This is what the Lord says: Be careful not to carry a load on the Sabbath day or bring it through the gates of Jerusalem. 22 Do not bring a load out of your houses or do any work on the Sabbath, but keep the Sabbath day holy, as I commanded your ancestors. 23 Yet they did not listen or pay attention; they were stiff-necked and would not listen or respond to discipline. 24 But if you are careful to obey me, declares the Lord, and bring no load through the gates of this city on the Sabbath, but keep the Sabbath day holy by not doing any work on it, 25 then kings who sit on David’s throne will come through the gates of this city with their officials.

On the road to recovery

In the not so many days from my breakdown, I have often looked back and shudder. At the what ifs, and the what have nots.

I am on the road to recovery, for myself and my inner soul.
Every day, I pray to God, that I have the strength to continue on.

It seems that Life is full of potholes, and when it rains, it pours.
Whether it be good fortune or bad, everything seems to come together.

To be frank, I am fatigued. Fatigued by the constant quarrels that surround and embroil me in their midst. I am confused, what is happening?
There seems to be no place to step upon, and every where there are little whirl pools of disaster. I am standing on a tight rope, yet I have no choice but to advance.

I wish to there to be  a time for me to rest and think, to replot my direction. The reality remains that the World has other thoughts and persist on hounding me.

Where can I place my foot upon?

The saving grace of God. Please save me from this mire of doubts, and guide me across this dangerous land.

Where will I find myself after this? I don't know, and I hope that there is a place I can rest before the next race.

Life of Faith

A life of Faith is not easy to go through.

Life itself is not easy to navigate. We all live with baggages, whether it is ours or from people around us.

And Faith is not something that is easy to keep.

In many cases, we find ourselves struggling to even take a breath and hope for it all to end.
However, what good does it do?

There must be a reason that We are placed here and given the chance to live.

What can be our guiding light?

The bible can give us a good guide, eventually we have to make our own decisions based on our own understanding.

Our faith will direct us.

Are we going in the right direction with every decision that we make?

To tell the truth I do not know.

However, I believe that as long as we are willing to learn and make mistakes, reason and faith will pull us through.
